Well, i’ve recently been doing pretty much sod all, but i have managed to make some progress with various bits and pieces :)

Kinja'd!!!

Finished boxing in my b-pillars on the spitfire, as well as the inside of the hardtop to the rear deck. Had a go with a sanding disc to flat off the welds and it works really nicely :) chews away the weld but doesn’t cut great gouges into the metal if you slip off like a grinding disc.

Also, I’ve got my shelves up in the parts shed, as well as the floor wholly painted which i don’t have a picture of yet. Planning to move the yellow spit in shortly :)

Kinja'd!!!

This pales in comparison to my dad’s progress, having doors (pictured), a workbench, electrics and a compressor sorted in his new garage.

Kinja'd!!!

Lastly, the 106 racecar is coming along very nicely. Lithium battery sorted, engine mounts welded on, wiring sorted (although needs tidying), radiator mount done, oil cooler mount done. Not far from being trackworthy now.

Whatsmore, it runs!

It’s even better in person! 200bhp out of a 1.6l sounds very meaty indeed :)

Very nice indeed. The space-destroying truss project in the middle of the shop is finished up with, so I spent some time Saturday trying to get things reworked to be able to reach my project again. Last weekend and the one before, I managed to assemble and mount the mid-gate - the bit where the back of the cab can roll down into the bed. That done, I should be able to weld the roll hoop, then the rest of the roof tubing, and switch to light wire to finish the floors and quarters.

Nice! Lots of progress :) (or maybe pre-progress? The stuff you have to get done so you can get other stuff done...)

Make sure to message me when you’ve got a post up :) haven’t got as much time these days to sift through oppo like I used to :(

Will do. I’ve actually not had any good progress posts in a very long time, and by way of that I’ve actually skipped some progress. The next one I make will have to do a lot of describing...
